Salud mental en trabajadores sanitarios durante la pandemia de COVID 19 en el norte de la ciudad de Quito

Abstract

Abstract: During the pandemic caused by Covid 19, health workers were subjected to heavy work periods, wreaking havoc on both their physical and mental health. These problems are summarized in the prevalence of symptoms associated with: anxiety, stress and depression in frontline workers.Taking the aforementioned as a precedent, the present investigation is proposed whose objective is to determine the mental state of the workers of two public institutions located north of the city of Quito, in the same participant a total of 40 respondents. This research will be approached from a non-experimental, quantitative, cross-sectional, exploratory and descriptive design. Which uses the following tests as a basis for data collection: ad hoc sociodemographic questionnaire, chronic work stress inventory, depression, anxiety and stress scales, acceptance and action questionnaire, loneliness scale and sleep quality index. At the end of the investigation, it is concluded that the health workers surveyed do not present a prevalence of moderate and severe symptoms of the variables that are presented in the tests previously proposed.
