Evaluación de la efectividad del manejo del humedal de importancia internacional Laguna de Cube , Esmeraldas

Abstract

Abstract: The present work was carried out with the purpose of knowing the effectiveness of the management of the Ramsar Site "La Laguna de Cube", following the R-METT methodology, obtaining a 47.55% management effectiveness, finding it as an Unsatisfactory level, for which reason could conclude that the area of the "La Laguna de Cube" Wetland, which means that, although it has certain resources and means that are essential for its management, it lacks many elements to reach a minimum acceptable level, which leads to determine that this area protected has a condition of high vulnerability to the incidence of external or internal conjunctural factors and as a consequence, its long-term permanence is not guaranteed. Additionally, the multitemporal analysis of the vegetation cover of the mentioned site was carried out for the years 1983, 2018 and 2022; as an additional element, that indicates the state of conservation of the Laguna de Cube.
