| Abstract: | Abstract: The objective of this work is to identify the territorial configuration in the Portoviejo river basin. For this, the development of a methodology of easy implementation and replicable is proposed, which involves the use of spatial information, which is obtained from primary and secondary sources, this with the purpose of establishing a prospective (statistical) scenario, a result where it is evidenced. land use change trends, which serves as support for territorial planning. The study is carried out for a determined period of time, where through the processing of satellite images the land use is identified and with the resulting data a forecast of land cover and use change is made. The result indicates that by 2030 the main use will correspond to agricultural land (33%), followed by shrub vegetation (18%) and forest (18%). These data help to have a vision of how the change in land use will behave, which is important for decision-making and projections in the diagnostic and prospecting processes of territorial planning. |
| Description: | Resumen: El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo la identificación de la configuración territorial en la cuenca del río Portoviejo. Para ello se plantea el desarrollo de una metodología de fácil implementación y replicable, que involucra el uso de información espacial, la cual es obtenida de fuentes primarias y secundarias, esto con la finalidad de establecer un escenario prospectivo (estadístico), resultado donde se evidencie las tendencias de cambio de uso de suelo, lo que sirve como apoyo a la planificación territorial. El estudio se realiza para un periodo temporal determinado, donde mediante el procesamiento de imágenes satelitales se identifica el uso de suelo y con los datos resultante se realiza un pronóstico de cambio de cobertura y uso de la tierra. El resultado indica que para el 2030 el uso principal corresponderá a tierra agropecuaria (33%), seguido de vegetación arbustiva (18%) y bosque (18%). Estos datos ayudan a tener una visión de cómo se comportará el cambio de uso de suelo, lo cual es importante para toma de decisiones y proyecciones en los procesos de diagnóstico y prospección de la planificación territorial. |
