Abstract:The present investigation seeks to analyze the drainage micro-basin of the Las Pavas stream applying morphological and morphometric indices, the basin has been delimited by means of the information of the physical parameters based on the morphology and with this data it was achieved analyze the relief indexes, shape indexes and the characterization of the drainage network whose The objective is to generate information on the morphometric parameters such as the Coefficient of Compactness, Form Factor, Elongation Ratio, Drainage Density, Order of the drainages, Slope of the basin, in order to understand the efficiency of the drainage and the processes developed by the fluvial system, the information obtained from data processing in ArcGis 10.5 and Excel software, movement analysis in Mass and its relationship with vegetation cover through land use and changes in the fluvial morphology of the Las Pavas ravine through time, through images satellite (Google Earth source), aerial photographs and orthophotos (SIGTIERRAS), together with information provided by the Instituto Geográfico Militar, complemented by work field, the micro-watershed of the Las Pavas stream was characterized as a watershed elongated. The basic geological information for this study is given by the geological sheet of Loja and Gonzanáma with a scale of 1:1000,000 from the year 2017, from the Research Institute Geological and Energy (IIGE) and base cartography scale 1:100,000.
