Abstract

Abstract:The objective of this Curricular Integration Work is to improve the coverage wireless in the Central Building of the Private Technical University of Loja (UTPL), where users are having trouble connecting to 4G networks. To achieve this, use the Engineer Design methodology to structure, investigate and propose the solution that helps improve the propagation of cellular signal within the central building of the UTPL. As a result from the investigation of the state of the art, it was decided to install two active repeaters of the Weboost brand, resulting in a 74.01% improvement in signal reception SMA. This work demonstrates that it is possible to improve the propagation of wireless signals in buildings with complex structures and provides a solution applicable to other buildings with similar characteristics. In addition, this Curricular Integration Work can be used as a guide for future wireless coverage improvement projects and is important to improve communication in environments where connectivity is crucial.
