Abstract: | Abstract: In these times where human beings must find the necessary tools to reconnect with their context, the people around them and reality, after the pandemic generated by COVID 19, mental health must be taken into account to enrich coexistence and decrease stress, anxiety, depression and Burnout syndrome. In relation to this, the purpose of this research was to determine the state of mental health of health workers during the COVID 19 pandemic in the Monjas/Puengasí sector of the city of Quito during the year 2021. It was developed through the approach quantitative with descriptive character, not experimental. To determine these repercussions, a cross-sectional study was carried out, including a sample of health personnel who worked during the COVID 19 pandemic in the Monjas/Puengasí sector of the city of Quito during the year 2021. It concluded that the lack of personal fulfillment, is a feeling of incompetence that appears when the individual feels that work demands exceed their capacity; the individual is dissatisfied with his professional achievements, regarding the mental health of the respondents, it was observed that there is a high percentage with a low level of emotional exhaustion, and a low percentage with a medium and high level of staff suffering from emotional exhaustion; In the same way, among the personnel surveyed, there is a high percentage of low level of personal accomplishment, as well as a low percentage in medium and low levels with low personal accomplishment. It was verified in daily life, stress and anxiety can have a surprising influence and generate very negative consequences, affecting our personal and professional lives. To mitigate certain factors that influence the development of burnout syndrome, it is important to optimize the conditions with which health personnel in the Monjas/Puengasí sector of the city of Quito can generate a better environment in their workplaces. |
Description: | Resumen: Tras la pandemia por el COVID-19, debe tomarse en cuenta la salud mental para enriquecer la convivencia y disminuir el estrés, ansiedad, depresión y el síndrome de Burnout. El objetivo del trabajo fue determinar el estado de la salud mental de trabajadores sanitarios durante la pandemia de COVID 19 en el sector de Monjas/Puengasí de la ciudad de Quito, año 2021. Con un enfoque cuantitativo, de carácter descriptivo, no experimental; se realizó un estudio de corte transversal con una muestra del personal sanitario que laboró durante la pandemia de COVID 19 en el sector periodo 2021. Concluyó que la falta de realización personal, es un sentimiento de incompetencia que aparece cuando el individuo siente que las demandas laborales exceden su capacidad; respecto a salud mental, se pudo observar que existe un alto porcentaje con bajo nivel de agotamiento emocional y alto de personal que padece agotamiento emocional; de la misma manera dentro del personal encuestado se presenta un alto porcentaje de bajo nivel de realización personal, así como un bajo porcentaje en niveles medio y bajo con baja realización personal. |
