Abstract

Abstract: In the present titling work, the academic preferences of the students of the Law School and their link with the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs 16.3 have been focused through the study and investigation techniques of the sentence No. 0591- 2015 Resolution No. 0606-2017, whose main objective is to promote just, peaceful and inclusive societies, with the search for well-being, health, peace, justice, thus forming solid institutions. In the search to Guarantee Rights, the main goal is to maintain transparency in the actions of the judicial system, prioritizing effective judicial protection and due process, guaranteeing a fair trial for both the victim and the accused. In the present object of study, the selected sentence is the Appeal of Cassation for the Crime of Preterintentional Homicide, issued by the National Court of Justice of the Specialized Chamber of Criminal, Military Criminal, Police Criminal and Traffic where it will be analyzed as the transition of norms between the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code (repealed) and the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code mixed, eliminated and modified the crimes that were typified. Based on the aforementioned, the merits of the sentence and the resolution issued by the court will be analyzed, focusing on how this transition motivated the objectives of SDGs 16.3 to move in the right direction, generating security for people who seek to live in a more just, peaceful and inclusive society.
