| Abstract: | Abstract: The present investigative work is established based on the analysis of the discipline practiced by the parents of a rural school with the interest of highlighting the importance of exercising this discipline in a positive way. To do this, by applying the Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire PSDQ (Robinson et al., 1995) adapted by Velásquez and Villouta (2013), it was possible to determine that the authoritative style is the predominant one. However, there are factors that can affect the maintenance of this parental style that is characterized by exercising a demanding discipline but that at the same time, through communication and affection, attends to the needs of their children. |
| Description: | Resumen: El presente trabajo investigativo se establece en base al análisis de la disciplina practicada por los padres y madres de familia de una escuela rural con el interés de resaltar la importancia de ejercer esta disciplina de forma positiva. Para ello, mediante la aplicación del Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire PSDQ (Robinson y cols., 1995) adaptado por Velásquez y Villouta (2013) se logró determinar que el estilo autoritativo es el predominante. Sin embargo existen factores que pueden afectar el sostenimiento de este estilo parental que se caracteriza por ejercer una disciplina exigente pero que al mismo tiempo, mediante la comunicación y el afecto atiende las necesidades de sus hijos. |
