Abstract

Abstract:This research work is based on covering and knowing the preferences acquired by students during the law degree and the way in which that these are related to the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations Organization. The selected subject is criminal law and the ODS is number 16, which is called "Peace, Justice and Solid Institutions", due to this it is carried out a detailed analysis of judgment No. 1965-18-EP dated July 14, 2021, issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador. In this ruling, the right to the person sentenced to double conforming, because there is a legal loophole around this legal institution. Finally, this research aims to analyze the applicability of the special appeal of double compliance, which served as support for the analysis of the Objective of Sustainable Development number 16 that seeks to promote access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels and know if the objectives have been applied to achieve what is proposed by this objective.
