Abstract

Abstract: SDG 16 is part of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that the UN established in 2015. Being its main purpose to promote peace and access to justice, it has become necessary national and international cooperation within the different areas of its institutionality. Indeed, the effective protection of rights is immersed in the development of the SDGs and the obligation of the State to protect them, like the stone fundamental in the functioning of justice and judicial protection. Protected rights by SDG 16 are: peace, inclusion, access to justice, personal freedom and reduction of all form of violence. Linked to this concept, the integration work has been carried out curriculum Academic preferences of law students and their link with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through the study of judgments, for which a detailed analysis of Judgment No. 166-12-JH/20 was carried out issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador in which a relevant Pronunciation regarding the right to freedom for people who are confined in centers of rehabilitation against his will through the guarantee of habeas corpus.
