Abstract

Abstract: In this research, an analysis is carried out on the Development Objectives Sustainable, especially SDG 16 due to its importance when considering efficiency and transparency of public institutions. In this sense, SDG 16 has been connected with the analysis of a case through a Constitutional Court Judgment that analyzes the expiration of preventive detention. Criminal law is based on principles and fundamental rights that are established in the Constitution, in addition to provides the legal framework for criminal regulations and proceedings. The objective of Sustainable development no. 16 promotes peaceful and just societies seeking ensure access to justice and build effective institutions. In this context, it involves the right to liberty and the administration of justice that are governed by principles and that are framed in SDG 16. In summary, it highlights the need to link to SDG 16 with the administration of criminal and constitutional justice with the goal of evaluating whether the principles and rights are being fulfilled in society with efficiency and effectiveness.
