Niveles de educación financiera en estudiantes universitarios en la ciudad de Loja. Año 2022. Caso UIDE

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the levels of financial education in students university students of the city of Loja, specifically at the Loja headquarters of the University International of Ecuador (UIDE) during the year 2022. To carry out the investigation, uses a methodology based on the application of an online survey to a total of 268 UIDE university students. The survey covers different aspects related with financial education, such as knowledge of basic financial concepts, ability to prepare a budget, understanding of instruments and services and financial attitudes and behaviors. The results show that the Most of the students are in the age range of 17 to 21 years, being in their mostly women. Furthermore, they also indicate that the majority of students have a level medium level of financial knowledge, and a low level of behavior and attitudes, thus, no respondent obtained a high level in some of the dimensions evaluated.
