Estrategia Nacional De Inmunización Del Ministerio De Salud Pública Del Ecuador en comparación con las recomendaciones internacionales, una revisión narrativa.

Abstract

Abstract: In this final degree project, a bibliographic review was carried out on the National Immunization Strategy of Ecuador (ENI), the historical aspects regarding the emergence, introduction of the vaccines contained therein, the importance of immunization in the country. In addition to an evaluation and comparison of the ENI with the recommendations from international organizations such as the American Association of Pediatrics (APA), the Spanish Association of Pediatrics (AEP), and the Organization Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). In this bibliographic research it is evident that, in the ENI, immunization is not included for certain infectious diseases, such as vaccination for hepatitis A and meningococcus which are immunopreventable pathologies that, although to a lesser extent cases also appear in the national territory, on the other hand, some of the vaccines that appear in the ENI, such as BCG and yellow fever, are not present in the schemes international except for certain specifications for foreigners. In addition to this, showed differences regarding the type of vaccines used and doses, between the different vaccination schedules, confirming in Ecuador there is a greater adherence to the PAHO recommendations.
