Abstract: Abstract: The research work entitled "Academic preferences of Law students and their link with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through the study of sentences", was guided by the general objective of knowing the factors that come together in the Graduated from the UTPL Law School, for this reason a sentence of the Inter American Court of Human Rights of November 3, 2021 signed with No. 442 was used. Case of the massacre of the village Los Josefinos vs. Guatemala; In order to develop the research, the following investigative methods were used: systematic, theoretical - deductive, socio-legal, exegetical, exploratory legal and projective legal; to collect the information, the filing and the analysis of sentences were handled; obtaining as a result that public law through criminal law, seeks to enforce the rights of people; It seeks equal access to justice for the population, which motivates the student to pursue a law career in an attempt to support people in the search for the claim of those rights that are being violated.
