Abstract

Abstract: The present study describes the case of an 18-year-old adolescent with problems of adaptation, referring to presenting symptoms at an affective, emotional, behavioral and social. The process carried out from evaluation, diagnosis and treatment was carried out from an integrative approach in which various psychological techniques were used, with a duration of eight sessions. For the evaluation and diagnosis of this case, the Manual was used ICD-10, therefore, the diagnosis of Adaptive Disorder with Reaction was concluded. prolonged depressive disorder (F43.21). The same one that meets the diagnostic criteria for this manual, likewise a predominant characteristic is the stressful event. At the end of the eight weekly intervention sessions, results were obtained highly positive which reflect a notable improvement. The main objectives established therapeutic measures were satisfactorily achieved, allowing the patient acquire various psychological techniques to reduce the present symptoms and improve their good.
