Análisis de la reactivación de la economía posterior a la crisis sanitaria por COVID-19 en el sector de transporte urbano de la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The main objective of this research is to analyze the economic impact caused by the covid-19 pandemic on public transport operations in the city of Loja, for which we rely on a qualitative and quantitative approach methodology. Bus owners were surveyed and provided information on revenue and passenger demand. The results obtained showed us that evidently, the covid- 19 pandemic was the main factor for the reduction in the income of each partner, as well as the low demand for passengers due to the issue of teleworking, virtual education and curfew, while the Expenses were increasing since the products and services increased their value, thus reaching the point of requesting credits to be able to solve their debts. One of the main conclusions was the issue of SITU cards, since most of the partners believe that this is why economic reactivation has not been achieved because they still have not generated the income they had before the pandemic.
