Abstract

Abstract: The general objective of this research was to describe the variables psychosocial in the adult population of the south of the city of Esmeraldas and relate the personality traits with mental health indicators, during the year 2023. This The research was quantitative, descriptive, exploratory, non-experimental and cross. The sample was 44 participants, made up of 24 females. and 20 male, six information collection instruments were applied: Ad-hoc sociodemographic questionnaire, Personality Inventory (TIPI10), History of Life (K-SF42), Adverse Experiences: Young's Schemas Questionnaire, Impulsivity: (BRIEF), Anxiety and depression (PQ4 A). The results showed the presence of a slow life history with a mean of 3.39 and adverse experiences with 2.28, in terms of anxiety there was an average 2.50 and in depression with 2.54 of the female gender, while the male gender in anxiety scored an average of 1.85 and depression with 2.10. Therefore, concludes that the population sets long-term goals, averse to risk, and likewise that The female gender is more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety.
