Abstract

Abstract: Social constructivism and education in Ecuador is on the rise, by contextualizing the learning in cultural diversity, promote critical thinking and prepare students students for a changing world, the objective of the proposed research was to identify, argue and value the principles of constructivism in the Pedagogical Proposal Institutional Center of the Millennium Educational Unit 5 de Junio located in the province of Loja, Macará canton. In this research, the qualitative route was used as mentioned by Mendoza. and Hernández (2015), that is, the content analysis method, the technique as a review documentary and as an instrument to generate the diagnosis the relationship matrix, it was verified that the educational institution presents a partial implementation of the principles of constructivism, addressing only four of the five foundations, in such a way that These integrate the active participation of the student through teaching-learning; and recommending that the principles of constructivism be considered in the curriculum and Various teaching methods are carried out, pedagogical strategies where learning adapts to the needs and abilities of each student.
