Análisis del potencial interpretativo de la Reserva Biológica Limoncocha (RBL)

Abstract

Abstract: The interpretive potential of the Limoncocha Biological Reserve (RBL) provides visitors not only an educational and enriching experience, but also plays a vital role in promoting conservation and scientific research. This studio mixed quantitative and qualitative was carried out with the objective of analyzing the potential interpretation of the RBL and determine its current situation. Primary information was collected of the administrator, operational staff and representatives of public and private institutions adjacent to the reserve. The relevant results indicate that the RBL is intended for the conservation and sustainable use of environmental services. Among the tourist activities national and international, 82% participate in guided tours, with family groups the most frequent (50%). Between 101 and 300 weekly visitors are registered, the days being busiest on Fridays and Sundays. Regarding environmental interpretation, 33.3% Administrative and operational staff are constantly trained in environmental education. In addition, they identify the lack of personnel and infrastructure as problems in the RBL.
