| Abstract: | Abstract: The operational reality of work on digital platforms has features of precariousness, thus causing various protests by delivery drivers not only in the international context but also at the local level. It should be noted that digital platform workers do not They have rights to social security, to receive a fair payment or to associate collectively, which which falls into the characteristics of informal employment. Due to this problem, this The objective of the research was to analyze the relationship between work in the informal sector and digital platforms in Ecuador in the period 2020-2021, through a type study correlational, taking as an analysis sample the percentage of employment in the sector informal and some indicators of electronic commerce. At the end of the investigation, observes that there is a positive correlation greater than 0.70 between the digital platforms of delivery and work in the informal sector, unlike transport platforms, where The relationship turned out to be moderate and in another case not statistically significant. |
| Description: | Resumen: La realidad operativa del trabajo en plataformas digitales posee rasgos de precariedad, provocando así, diversas protestas de los repartidores no solo en el contexto internacional sino también a nivel local. Cabe resaltar, que los trabajadores de plataformas digitales no tienen derechos a la seguridad social, a recibir un pago justo o asociarse colectivamente, lo cual recae en las características de un empleo informal. En virtud de dicha problemática, esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre el trabajo en el sector informal y las plataformas digitales en el Ecuador en el período 2020-2021, mediante un estudio de tipo correlacional, tomando como muestra de análisis el porcentaje de empleo en el sector informal y algunos indicadores del comercio electrónico. Al término de la investigación, se observa que existe una correlación positiva mayor a 0.70 entre las plataformas digitales de reparto y el trabajo en el sector informal, a diferencia de las plataformas de transporte, donde la relación resultó ser moderada y en otro caso no estadísticamente significativa. |
