Abstract

Abstract: This research project highlights the importance of digital skills in teachers from Ecuador. Technological development redefines teaching, requiring Educators adapt to a constantly evolving digital environment. Despite the efforts of the Ministry of Education, the challenges persist, the lack of access to technology, the resistance to change. The integration of digital skills, according to the Common Framework of Digital Teaching Competence (MCCDD), is crucial to improve educational quality and prepare students for the future. The relationship between digital skills and Teaching innovation stands out as essential, since it enables educators to integrate technology effectively and enhance learning. The research, based on a positivist and quantitative approach, identifies through a survey applied to teachers who The support resource for better management of them is scarce, however they present drawbacks when trying to learn, These findings underscore the need to specific training programs and greater integration of technology in the classroom to a more effective education adapted to the 21st century.
