Abstract

Abstract: The Inter-American Court of Human Rights is a judicial institution empowered to resolve those rights violated by OAS member states. Under this premise, This work seeks to highlight the importance of the application of the Objectives of Sustainable Development (SDG), specifically SDG 16, which is related to the subject of Human rights. For this we have taken as a platform the sentence issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights where the violation of rights is evident fundamental. The methodology used in this analysis starts from the coordinates descriptive and bibliographical, where the ruling Huacón Baidal and others Vs. Ecuador. Once the study has been developed, it is concluded that the sentence in accordance with SDG 16 aims to reduce all forms of violence, guarantee equal access justice for all, reduce corruption in all its forms, create effective institutions and transparent, promote and apply non-discriminatory laws, where the need for justice and reparation for victims of human rights violations.
