Abstract: Sustainable Development Goal 16 aims to foster equitable societies, peaceful and inclusive, and ensure that all people have access to justice, reduce corruption and bribery, and establish accountable and transparent institutions. In addition, seeks to put an end to all forms of violence and organized crime, promote respect for human rights, strengthen the participation of developing countries in decisions and promote laws and policies to promote sustainable development. The violence, the insecurity, fragile institutions and lack of access to justice represent an obstacle for sustainable development. In this sense, the present research aims know the factors that come together in the graduate of the UTPL Law School to develop preferences for specific areas of legal science and their future specialization in these. In ruling No. 746-17-EP/21, the Constitutional Court of Ecuador highlights the importance of verifying the competence and compliance with the solemnities in the resolution of a case to guarantee legality and justice in the application of the rules and corresponding legal principles.
