Abstract: This research entitled Rehabilitation and new use of the heritage housing of the Gonzáles Tandazo family proposes a solution to the lack of information about the conservation of the architectural and cultural heritage of the city of Loja, which has caused its history, identity and culture to gradually be lost. With this degree work, the aim is to know the current state of the home and the possible interventions according to the context designed for its rehabilitation and new use. Likewise, it is imperative to identify the characteristics of architectural rehabilitation according to the needs of the real estate and publicize the cultural heritage and architecture that guards the historic center of the city. In this context, a process of architectural rehabilitation and new use is proposed that does not be invasive with the home and allow the current intervention to be differentiated from the original, in addition to record true information about the state of conservation of said home.
