Identificación de problemas socio ambientales en la parroquia San Lucas

Abstract

Abstract: Due to the serious effects of climate change and the notable degradation of the environment This research is proposed, whose main objective is to identify the socio-environmental problems that exist in the San Lucas Parish, in the city of Loja. To achieve this, a mixed type of research was carried out, both qualitative and quantitative. with the application of a survey, which contains open and closed questions, aimed at 354 inhabitants of the parish and that allowed the collection of information. With this first diagnosis it was determined that the main socio-environmental problem is the inadequate management of solid waste and thus the impact on soils, which is probably due to the lack of coordination for the collection and treatment of waste and lack of resources. Finally, a strategic plan was proposed to improve the collection and treatment of garbage in the parish and that makes possible the use of waste organic products for agriculture, considered one of the main productive activities of the place.
