Abstract: This research focuses on the relationship between criminal law and the Development Goals Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), specifically analyzing the decision of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the Casierra Quiñonez case. The first chapter reviews exhaustive review of the existing literature, exploring various levels of research to support the objectives of the study. The implications of the law are examined in depth criminal justice in the context of the SDGs, particularly SDG 16 ("Peace, justice and strong"). The second chapter focuses on the materials and methods used, highlighting the combination of theoretical and empirical approaches to address the complexities of the topic.
