Abstract

Abstract: This research, titled Architectural Rehabilitation Project of the Carrión Gallardo Residence, Piñas Canton, El Oro Province, presents an analysis based on data obtained from INPC and GAD Piñas (2022). This analysis identifies the Carrión Gallardo residence as the most significant heritage building in Piñas Canton. The objective of this study is to raise awareness about the value of heritage in all its dimensions. To achieve this, it is necessary to document the legal and theoretical framework for intervening in wooden structures, diagnose the current condition of the building, and develop a proposal for its architectural rehabilitation. The selection of this property was based on a comparative analysis that highlighted its status as a historical commercial building. The proposed interventions adhere to international, national, and local standards. The final proposal is the architectural rehabilitation of the Carrión Gallardo residence. This process aims to protect and preserve heritage using traditional methods, taking into account the building's year of construction and its significant historical value.
