Abstract

Abstract: This project is focused on the study of the identification of topics in publications scientific research by Ecuadorian researchers, with the aim of identifying and comparing the research topics from the years 2019 to 2021. We worked with the dataset of 17,461 investigations, of which 4,828 are from 2019, 5,582 from 2020 and 5,788 from 2021. The LDA algorithm and the coherence metric were applied to validate the experiments. HE They identified 15 topics for 2019, 10 topics for 2020 and 20 topics for 2021. Furthermore, it could be observed with the results that were obtained that we realize that the comparative of the last three years from 2019 to 2021, it was evident that studies were carried out of topics such as: technology, environmental studies and science, that is, in the year In 2019, topics such as: science, agronomy, projects, research, environment, technology and medicine. In 2020, topics such as: science, study, tourism, environment, leadership were investigated. and mineral. In 2021, topics such as: science, fishing, biology, technology, vaccination, laboratory, hospitals. That is to say, it was in 2021 that the most research was done on topics related to the COVID virus.
