Abstract: Narrative journalism is a mixture of journalism and literature. Within it we divide several formats of which we become known through chronicles, interviews, profiles, etc. The objective within narrative journalistic genres is to have an impact on readers, to show all the social aspects that occur in everyday life represented from a realistic context. The figure of women always had a special place in society. Journalism, however, is a field full and dominated by the male figure. Those who are dedicated to journalism will know that it is difficult but not impossible for women to transcend this world, not only because they have a beautiful face and physique, it entails their intellect and responsibility. Many authors stand out who use women as muses. In this case we analyze Mario Vargas Llosa and specifically his work Tiempos recios . The Peruvian author mentions and develops female characters, contextualizing various social processes. This research focuses its vision on the issue of women. As well as that of other authors.
