Abstract

Abstract: The study focuses on improving solid waste management in the community through a comprehensive analysis of the current situation. Specific objectives were determined that included evaluating current waste management, characterizing the waste generated, and designing a comprehensive plan to address the identified needs and challenges. The methodology used involved a detailed diagnosis of current waste management, a monitoring program to determine the quantity and composition of waste generated, as well as the evaluation of available infrastructure and community practices related to waste management. The results obtained highlighted the need to improve existing infrastructure, implement educational programs and optimize collection routes to achieve more efficient and sustainable management of solid waste in the community.
