Análisis comparativo de la estructura económica financiera de las empresas ecuatorianas, provincia Pichincha, cantón Quito, grupo 17, Años 2017 al 2022

Abstract

Abstract: This research carried out a comparative analysis of the economic and financial structure of companies in sector 17, located in the province of Pichincha, canton Quito, during the period 2017-2022. A quantitative methodology with a descriptive and bibliographic approach was used, considering a sample of 555 active companies. The financial information was obtained from the platform of the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance. The analysis included horizontal analysis techniques and calculation of financial indicators, using Excel as the main tool. The companies were classified by size and economic sectors. The results showed that microenterprises have a weaker economic and financial structure, while large companies, although fewer in number, have stronger assets and a greater capacity to generate operating income, making them more competitive. Regarding sectoral variations, it was evident that companies in sector C present greater variability in income and profitability, followed by sector G, with higher assets. In conclusion, each economic sector has strengths and weaknesses in its economic structure.
