Abstract: Abstract:Yeast infections affect millions of women around the world and they are the cause of gynecological more frequent in women in reproductive age. This disease has different etiologies, however the predominant infection is caused by yeast whose most common species is Candida albicans, so the objective of this project was to design and develop vaginal ovules for an effective treatment against the most common etiologic agent of vaginal infections using Ketoconazole (400 mg). The analytical method developed was by UV spectrophotometry, with its respective validation, which assessed the precision, accuracy and linearity of the method and system. For the medicament formulation, we used the suppository base: Ovucire WL 2944 and the manufacturing process to prepare three pilot batches was alveolar filling or directly on the package. The products were subjected to physical, chemical and microbiological controls and tested for accelerated stability during three months. After the stability data were analyzed using the Arrhenius method.
