Distribución espacial de las áreas verdes urbanas en la ciudad La Troncal

Abstract

Abstract: The main object of this research focuses on determining the spatial distribution of the existing urban green areas in the city of La Troncal, for which information was collected in order to identify the location and size of these, in addition, calculated the population density within the urban area of the canton with the purpose of obtaining the distribution of parks in relation to the population through nearest neighbor analysis through the ArcGis computer system. With the results of this analysis, it was determined that the distribution of the Urban Green Areas (AVU) in the La Troncal city is random, in addition, the 5 sectors with the highest and lowest population density at the greatest distance from an AVU were identified. These results are of vital importance so that local administrations can implement plans and policies regarding these areas in the city. Currently, the distribution of the AVU in the La Troncal city reflects the lack of planning at the local level regarding their implementation, resulting in an unequal distribution of these spaces for the use and exploitation of the population.
