| Abstract: | Abstract: This research work includes the analysis of the Development Objective Sustainable N°16 Peace, Justice and Solid Institutions and the ruling of November 8, 2022. Case of Aroca Palma and Others v. Ecuador issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the case is related to the alleged international responsibility of the State for the illegal and arbitrary detention, and extrajudicial execution of Mr. Joffre Antonio Aroca Palma on February 27, 2001, and the situation of impunity in which the facts would remain ; reason why the rights were violated: to life, to integrity and personal freedom, judicial guarantees and judicial protection and due process. SDG No. 16 aims to promote law at the national and international level, which means promoting societies based on transparency and good governance, with citizens who have the basic conditions to live with dignity, with respect to human rights, with stable scenarios where citizens can exercise their rights in equality and the institutions can carry out their functions in a manner safe. |
| Description: | Resumen:El presente trabajo de investigación comprende el análisis del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible N°16 Paz, Justicia e Instituciones Sólidas y la sentencia del 8 de noviembre de 2022. Caso Aroca Palma y Otros Vs. Ecuador emitida por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, el caso se relaciona con la alegada responsabilidad internacional del Estado por la detención ilegal y arbitraria, y ejecución extrajudicial del señor Joffre Antonio Aroca Palma el 27 de febrero 2001, y la situación de impunidad en la que permanecerían los hechos ; motivo por el cual se vulneraron los derechos: a la vida, a la integridad y libertad personal, a las garantías judiciales y a la protección judicial y al debido proceso. El ODS N°16, pretende fomentar el derecho a nivel nacional e internacional, lo que significa promover sociedades basadas en la transparencia y el buen gobierno, con ciudadanos que cuenten con las condiciones básicas para vivir con dignidad, con respeto a los derechos humanos, con escenarios estables donde los ciudadanos puedan ejercer sus derechos en igualdad y las instituciones puedan desarrollar sus funciones de forma segura. |
