Abstract

Abstract: This research study represents a contribution to the analysis of Sustainable Development Goal No. 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) in the context of human and constitutional rights. The intricate connection between this SDG and fundamental rights, such as access to justice, a fair trial and equality before the law, is highlighted. The exhaustive literature review is based on doctrinal and legal sources, providing a solid theoretical framework supported by relevant international instruments. Furthermore, the analysis of the sentence delves into the background of the Joffre Antonio Aroca Palma case, highlighting the controversies surrounding his arrest and the use of lethal force. This work not only offers a critical understanding of the intersection between human, constitutional rights and SDG 16, but also sheds light on the substantial implications for the promotion of just and peaceful societies. By examining the aforementioned case in detail, the importance of addressing issues of justice and peace in a comprehensive manner is underlined, highlighting the practical relevance of the research for the academic world.
