Abstract

Abstract: The anthropogenic greenhouse effect (CC) symbolizes one of the greatest challenges for the Territorial Planning, affecting security, the natural environment and the local economy of the population of Cañar. The integration of climate change in the territorial planning at the different levels of the territory to promote sustainability and a comprehensive system. This research focuses on analyzing how change is incorporated climate in the cantonal Development and Territorial Planning Plans of the province of Cañar, through national guides and strategies as a framework of reference. The goal is to develop an exploratory research through comparative analysis that allows establish guidelines for effective integration of climate change in planning, thus strengthening the capacity of governments at different scales to confront these challenges. These research results seek to benefit the local government of Identify and identify weaknesses in your planning instruments and propose improvements, but will also contribute to the academic field by highlighting the need to link the climate change not only with the hard sciences, but also with the soft sciences such as planning.
