Gobernanza en el Ecuador: Metodologías de Análisis. Un aporte conceptual

Abstract

Abstract: This research work is based on governance, focusing on the analysis of cultural governance in Ecuador. First, the most recognized methodologies used to measure governance at an international level were identified, and then the perception of one of the types of governance identified, cultural governance, was found in the territory. This refers to the structures and processes designed to ensure responsibility, transparency, equity, inclusion and broad participation among the actors in the cultural sector, including the government, civil society and the private sector. The research was descriptive and not experimental. A systematic documentary analysis was carried out and expert criteria were obtained through field work. The main objective was to understand governance from a cultural perspective and determine the challenges that institutions face when faced with weak public policies. The main findings reflect that governance in Ecuador faces several challenges that require a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach. It is necessary to strengthen the implementation of good regulatory practices, enhance the capacities of the different levels of government, promote the articulation of power among actors in the territory and define more clearly the concept of participatory governance. To improve governance in Ecuador, it is necessary to strengthen citizen participation, transparency, efficiency and coordination between the different levels of government, through a territorial approach that promotes sustainable development.
