Abstract

Abstract: This study carried out an in-depth analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals, their importance, birth, progress, and in a specific way developed the content of SDG number 16, which is entitled peace, justice and strong institutions. This research is justified because the United Nations Organization, with the creation of the SDGs, has sought to generate better conditions for the world's population by 2030, which is why each of the indicators of these objectives are intended to solve a problem that occurs in all member states, thus avoiding inequalities in gender matters, as well as in education or health matters, and having a healthy environment in which all people can develop their activities. Likewise, an analysis was carried out of a ruling issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, in order to determine whether the justice institutions guarantee and protect the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal number 16.
