Abstract

Abstract: The thesis addresses the study and analysis of the architectural heritage of the San Juan Bautista Church located in Chaguarpamba, focusing on its history throughout its construction and renovations up to the present day. The method used centered on the implementation of digital tools and 3D visualization, achieving the highest possible accuracy of structures and details with traditional planimetric surveying techniques, offering a realistic and easily accessible virtual representation. The initial step of the research was to find information on the Church's history from its construction to the present day. Documents, letters, inventories, records, and books were found that evidenced the construction and the various renovations made to its infrastructure. Subsequently, the respective planimetric surveys of the building were carried out, confirming these renovations and materials used. This helped create the 3D modeling, which facilitated an interactive and realistic virtual representation of the building through rendering techniques that allow exploration of the heritage from various angles and perspectives. It is expected that this resource will contribute to the conservation of the architectural heritage of the Church.
