Abstract

Abstract: Narrative journalism combines literary techniques with the presentation of real events, creating detailed stories. On the other hand, it successfully combines elements of fiction and literary techniques when narrating real events in an immersive way, highlighting their importance by allowing for deep, emotionally charged reading comprehension of events. "Eleven Minutes" (2003) by Paulo Coelho is an appreciable example of fiction that resembles the docufiction. It tells the story of María, a young Brazilian who performs the job of sex worker in Switzerland, analysis that understands the role of Latina women in narrative contemporary by representing the search for identity-freedom. The general objective is to develop a compilation of Latin American chronicles, which includes works from all stages and authors. We are making a significant contribution by examining the role of women Latin American in the literary work of Paulo Coelho, Once Minutes (2003). This study allows us to appreciate how Coelho and other authors address crucial issues such as emancipation women, white slavery and precariousness in the lives of many communities relegated from the society, helping to make these problems visible and reflect empathetically on medium of narrative journalism.
