Abstract

Abstract: This research work, titled: Academic preferences of high school students the Law career and its connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the study of sentences , aims to establish a contact interactive with law students, exploring their academic preferences. Based on this, the subject of criminal law was selected and the Sentence of 04 October 2022, Series C No. 466 issued by the Inter-American Court of Rights Human Rights, related to extrajudicial actions that led to the death of Mr. Walter Huacón Baidal and Mercedes Salazar Cueva. Through a critical legal analysis, This sentence has been linked to Sustainable Development Goal No. 16: Peace, Justice and solid institutions. During the analysis, various research approaches related to legal sciences to interpret the sentence precisely and concisely. This The process allowed the identification of violations of rights, among them, the right to life, personal integrity, judicial guarantees and judicial protection and which led to a crucial reflection on the friendly settlement agreement with the victims.
