Abstract

Abstract: The work titled "Maternal single-parent custody and gender equality in Ecuador" addresses the legal context of single-parent ownership in the country, focusing on the analysis current regulations and relevant court cases. Through the hermeneutic method and Scientifically, the challenges and obstacles faced by families are examined, as well as the initiatives and policies implemented to support them. The study proposes clear criteria for ensure equitable justice in single-parent ownership, highlighting the principle of best interest of the child and non-discrimination based on gender identity. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of the active participation of relevant institutions to monitor and ensure the comprehensive protection and well-being of the minor.
