Análisis del potencial interpretativo de los recursos ambientales de la Reserva Geobotánica Pululahua

Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to analyze the interpretive potential of the resources of the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve. The technique used was non-experimental and cross-sectional, data were collected through surveys and interviews with visitors, residents and reserve managers. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques using SPSS. The results show that visitors highly value nature and landscapes, but areas were found that needed to improve infrastructure and signage. Most respondents are willing to pay an entrance fee, reflecting the value of the experience. Finally, the reserve has great interpretive potential that can be maximized through investment in infrastructure and educational programs, local community involvement, and the implementation of entrance fees that contribute to its sustainability. To maximize the interpretive potential of the reserve, it is recommended to develop a comprehensive interpretive plan that includes improvements in infrastructure, signage, and educational programs.
