Abstract

Abstract: The research developed, highlights the relationship between the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, with special emphasis on SDG No. 16, and the judicial system with its highest body of constitutional interpretation; it has been taken as a case study the Judgment No. 3-15-IS/21 of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, related to the Action for Non-Compliance with Judgments and Rulings, the Court rejected the action brought by the plaintiff, on the grounds that it cannot be used as a legal remedy. 3-15-IS/21 of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, related to the Action for Non-Compliance of Judgments and Rulings, the Court rejected the action raised by the plaintiff, on the grounds that the same cannot be used for the general compliance of precedents, since, its scope protects people before the breach of specific obligations established in specific constitutional decisions, according to articles 58 and 162 to 165 of the Organic Law of Jurisdictional Guarantees and Constitutional Control; Furthermore, the Constitutional Court ratified the fact that the proceeding of this action requires a clear and determined mandate to do or not to do something specific; the judgment illustrates the relationship between SDG 16, Constitutional Law and the delimitation of the Constitutional Action for Non-Compliance with Judgments and Rulings.
