Abstract: Scholarly inquiry that interweaves the tenets of digital law with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 16 which calls for Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, alongside the adjudication documented in the judgment from the analyzed case, can elucidate the pivotal role that personal data protection and digital information regulation play in fostering equitable, tranquil, and inclusive societies. Scrutinizing the judgment, which underscores the significance of the habeas data action in amending erroneous entries within police digital repositories, reveals the synergy between data protection norms and the justice and transparency mandates enshrined in SDG 16. This type of scholarly investigation not only accentuates the pertinence of juridical safeguards within the digital sphere for the reinforcement of institutional integrity and the facilitation of judicial access but also may act as a paradigm for the formulation of public policies that safeguard digital rights, thereby laying a foundational stone for sustainable development.
