Abstract

Abstract: At the Luis Leoro Franco Educational Unit, an opportunity has been detected to promote creativity through the visual arts in the seventh grade of General Basic Education. The objective of this project was to design an educational strategy that integrates painting, sculpture, and collage into the curriculum, thus promoting enriched learning and the development of multiple skills. The research, based on analytical-synthetic and deductive-inductive methods, and supported by interviews with secondary basic education teachers and documentary analysis, has allowed us to design an educational strategy that responds to current needs. The importance of the visual arts is highlighted in the comprehensive training of students, encouraging personal expression and more complete learning. Although there are challenges such as limited resources and teacher training, the visual arts are presented as a means to achieve deeper knowledge and comprehensive growth. Specific workshops - dry, wet, clay and mixed techniques - will encourage artistic expression and connection with other academic areas, allowing students to explore the biodiversity and history of Ecuador in a comprehensive way.
