Características poblacionales y factores asociados a embarazo juvenil en estudiantes universitarios de la UTPL de primer año periodo Octubre 2015 - Agosto 2016.

Abstract

Teen pregnancy is one of the biggest concerns of global society. The consequences are devastating to the situation of people in this age group and at counteracted and eradicated, would certainly a decisive impact on improving the quality of life worldwide. With this research it is to recognize the demographic and risk factors associated with teen pregnancy characteristics by surveying 200 college freshmen and sophomores of different degrees in order to assess the level of knowledge they have about the subject. The principal demographic characteristics and factors of risk associated with juvenile pregnancy are: I initiate early of the sexual relations 24,12 % to the age of 18-22 years, 9 % does not use any contraceptive method, 57,12 % is a daughter of teen mother. 17,95 % of students is mothers in the group of age of 18-21 years. The prevalencia of juvenile pregnancy in students of the first year period October, 2015 - February, 2016, is 7 %. As for the knowledge, the teenagers have a high knowledge it brings over of the consequences of juvenile pregnancy
