Cumplimiento de la Terapia monoclonal con trastuzumab en pacientes con cáncer de mama HER2 positivo diagnosticadas en el instituto del cáncer SOLCA núcleo de Loja y su relación con la supervivencia durante el 2010 al 2014

Abstract

Determine the fulfillment of monoclonal therapy with trastuzumab through reviewing the clinical histories of the patients with breast cancer HER2 positive to evaluate survival in 5 years Descriptive, retrospective and cross study through analysis of clinical histories of patients with breast cancer with immunohistochemical diagnosis during the period 2010-2014 114 clinical histories were analyzed. The most common age group with breast cancer was between 45-49 years. Illiteracy was the level of instruction more frequent. The most frequent place of residence was the Loja Canton. The most frequent clinical stage was stage III. The breast cancer HER2 positive represents 24.6 % of all cancers diagnosed in SOLCA – Loja by the period 2010-2014. The 60 % of patients with cancer HER2+ complied the monoclonal therapy with trastuzumab by time and the recommended number of cycles. The overall 5-year survival of patients than received treatment with trastuzumab is 0%, and the patients who did not receive trastuzumab is 50%.
