Estudio de la cadena de valor de la caña de azúcar. Caso Ingenio Monterrey, cantón Catamayo.

Abstract

The present research studies and analyzes the actors, support links and processes that constitute the value chain of Sugar Mill Monterrey, MALCA; the lack of association would be concerning directly a decrease in the levels of production of the sugar cane growers as in those of the company. For the development and sustenance of the present work there has been realized an empirical search of authors which have investigated similar problems in chains values of the agrarian or tertiary sector, in order to determine the principal reasons that originate this problem, and likewise to move it to MALCA's case in the canton Catamayo. Additional and to realize a deeper analysis of the problem a raising of information has been realized to sugar cane growers by means of surveys, with which one has determined that distrust exists of these towards the company, even possessing contracts or direct agreements that it turns into principal actors of the chain value.
