Abstract

The Social entrepreneurship has been an interest around the world since 1980; in Ecuador, few studies have been carried, Ecuadorian entrepreneurs have social entrepreneurship initiatives but they do not know about the existence of it; in order to socialize the topic, this work compiled different theories related to this type of entrepreneurship.

Most social entrepreneurs do not know how to systematize entrepreneurial information which they lead and they ignore that they can establish possible cases through a specific method.

For this reason, Robert Yin's method of case study was systematized, which allows to design, prepare instruments and tools for data collection, analyze data and simplify the existing information through a final report of the case study; for setting an example, a local group was identified to apply and verify that systematization of the method is possible. The application of the method allowed to raise qualitative information of Craftsmen group of the Central Park in Loja, supported by the Department of Tourism of the Municipal Government and to write up the case study which serves to be known and to manage future projects.
